Easthampstead Park gains BSi accreditation for it’s Health & Safety Management System

Easthampstead Park Conference Centre has joined the other Bracknell Forest leisure sites in being recognised for operating a robust Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

Following two full days of audit, the British Standards Institution (BSi) has accredited Easthampstead Park with BS OHSAS 18001:2007. This is the internationally recognised assessment specification for occupational health and safety management. The standard promotes a safe and healthy environment for staff, clients and contractors by providing a framework that allows Easthampstead Park to consistently identify and control its health and safety risks, reduce the potential for accidents, aid legislative compliance and improve overall performance.

BS OHSAS 18001 addressed the following areas:
-       Planning for hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
-       OHSAS management programme
-       Structure and responsibility
-       Training, awareness and competence
-       Consultation and communication
-       Operational control
-       Emergency preparedness and response
-       Performance measuring, monitoring and improvement

In order to maintain the accreditation Easthampstead Park will be subject to regular inspections by BSi to ensure the standard is still being met.
