THE HISTORY OF BIRDWORLD
Birdworld was established in 1968 by Roy Harvey and his family.
Over the course of 28 years the park underwent expansion and welcomed the addition of Jenny Wren Farm in 1990.
In the early 90s the next generation took charge of the park's daily operations.
However, in 1996 they decided to pursue different ventures.
Birdworld was then acquired by Denys E. Head Ltd joining Forest Lodge Garden Centre and Garden Style as the third division of their company.
In the following years Birdworld saw continued development introducing beloved attractions such as the Terry Pratchett Owl Parliament, Silent Forest aviaries, Penguin Beach, and Outback Landing.
These additions became favourites among frequent visitors enhancing the overall experience of the park.
