Offsetting Our Carbon Footprint
Every month, Easthampstead Park offsets 1.66 tonnes of CO². That's equivalent to 133% of an average person emission in a year here in the UK.
This covers everything from transport and waste to food consumption and energy usage. Through certified carbon offset programs, we're making a tangible impact on climate change mitigation.
Putting Our Offsetting Impact Into Perspective
To help you visualize what 1.66 tonnes of CO² really means:
It fills around 85 concrete mixer trucks
It's the same as driving 4,000 miles in a petrol car
Or taking one return long-haul flight
Each tonne we offset helps prevent the melting of 5.33m² of Arctic sea ice
Going Beyond Carbon Neutral
By offsetting over 20 tonnes annually, we don't just neutralise our emissions. We exceed them, becoming carbon positive and actively removing CO² from the atmosphere.

Our green business practices extend far beyond offsetting. We contribute to global reforestation through our monthly tree planting initiative.
Our subscription plants 30 trees every month. That totals 360 trees per year—equivalent to restoring 1.5 acres of the Amazon rainforest.
Supporting Biodiversity
This effort supports biodiversity and restores vital ecosystems. It plays a crucial role in our green energy transition and helps communities worldwide thrive.
Carbon Neutral Britain is unique. They're the only UK-based NGO to equally prioritize carbon offsetting and tree planting.
Projects Across Britain and Beyond
Their projects span from Scottish woodland creation to solar and wind initiatives in England. They ensure a perfect balance of global and UK environmental initiatives.
Funding Verified Projects Worldwide
We support carbon offset projects certified through rigorous standards. These include the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Gold Standard VER, and CER programs.
These initiatives don't just reduce emissions. They provide clean water, education, employment, and renewable energy solutions in developing regions.
Supporting Home-Grown Solutions
10% of all contributions go directly to UK-based sustainable projects. This reinforces our commitment to eco-friendly practices and homegrown climate action.
