WHAT DOES THE COWSHED DO?
The Cowshed offers a wide range of essential services designed to provide immediate practical relief. They provide good quality cleaned and ironed clothes, along with other daily essentials, free of charge to those in need. By distributing over 150,000 items every year, they help ease the financial and mental burden on vulnerable individuals, helping them navigate life’s most difficult moments.
HOW DOES THE COWSHED OPERATE?
Driven by a dedicated team of over 400 volunteers, The Cowshed operates with compassion and a commitment to human nature. They work in partnership with over 250 local organisations to manage between 100 and 125 referrals every week. Their sustainable approach includes recycling over 140 tonnes of donations annually and fostering community through groups like their 100-member craft circle.
