Brief overview of the Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre
Nestled in the heart of Hurst in the Berkshire countryside lies the Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre, a haven for abandoned, neglected, and unwanted animals.
With over 50 years of experience, the centre's staff and supporters have done a magnificent job rescuing thousands of animals, ensuring they receive the best care possible.
Our Experience at the Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre
During our recent visit to the centre, we witnessed first-hand the incredible work the staff do to care for these animals here at the DBARC. From the full-time staff to the volunteers, everyone we met was incredibly passionate and committed to the welfare of the animals.
Their selflessness is a testament to the importance of the work being done at the centre, and we are proud to support their efforts through our monthly donation to help with their ongoing efforts.
We (Active Hospitality Marketing Department) were humbled by the hard work, generosity, and dedication of the staff and volunteers at the centre where clearly, every day, they go above and beyond to ensure that the animals are given the love and care they require in order to thrive and be prepared for rehoming.
Animal Care Facilities at the Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre
The facilities at the DBARC are purpose-built, and the animals are given a comfortable and secure environment to call home until they eventually find their “forever families”. The centre boasts an impressive array of facilities, including spacious kennels for dogs, a cattery with thermostatically controlled heating, and separate isolation units for sick animals.
There are also indoor kennels for smaller dogs and puppies and two doggy play areas with canopies for protection from the sun.
One of the most impressive facilities at the centre is the bunny care complex, which provides rabbits with an environment that allows them to enjoy active lives and social interaction. Guinea pigs also have spacious areas, complete with "Carrot Cottages" and play items.
Animals Rehoming At The DBARC
Preparing any animal for adoption, no matter the variety of animal, takes time and involves several important steps.
Before any animal is listed on the DBARC website for adoption, a thorough veterinary health check, including vaccinations, neutering, microchipping, flea and worm treatment, and any necessary procedures such as dental work, blood tests, or lump removal is conducted.
These steps ensure that the animals are healthy and ready for their forever homes.
As a result, it may take some time to complete these necessary steps, so interested adopters are encouraged to keep checking the website for new animals ready for adoption.
